Sweetheart Mountain will perform at 7:30 p.m. at Collinsville’s LaSalle Market. It’s $5 admission, and proceeds go to The Unity Project, a Connecticut-based (in Newtown) non-profit that since 2001 has been teaching children resilience — starting with New York City after 9/11, moving to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and most recently, going to Uganda to work with former child soldiers.
The project has been asked to develop a program for their town’s schools, starting with the high school. The founder, Dr. John Woodall, will be at the concert and will talk about his work.
